Carey Maxon was born in 1978 in Fairfax, CA. She earned a BA in Visual Art from Barnard College, and an MA in Psychology from Saybrook University. Her work has been exhibited in galleries and institutions throughout the US, and her works on paper are included in the permanent collections of the Brooklyn Museum, the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), and The Whitney Museum of American Art in New York City.
