Peter Schuyff, b. 1958 (Baarn, NL), is a painter and sculptor who became famous in the eighties for his paintings in Old Master techniques of new minimalistic forms. He was a prominent member of the Neo-Geo movement and showed his work at Leo Castelli Gallery (1987), Gagosian Gallery (1985) and Barbara Gladstone Gallery (1983). Recently Schuyff took part in the Whitney Biennial, New York (2014), Sorry We’re Closed, Brussel (2014), Palais de Tokyo, Parijs (2011) en het New Museum of Contemporary Art, New York (2005). Schuyff has upcoming shows at Mary Boone Gallery, NY and Galerie Gabriel Rolt, Amsterdam. Peter Schuyff his work is in the collections of MOMA, NY; MOCA, LA; Metropolitan Museum of Art, NY and The Fisher Landua Foundation.
